Zimbabwe China business forum set for Tuesday

Zimbabwe and China are set to hold a business forum in Beijing from Tuesday, with local companies expected to identify potential areas of trade between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Fredrick Shava is in China ahead of the Zimbabwe-China Business Forum scheduled from Tuesday until the 1st of June.

The Minister is leading the Zimbabwean delegation that comprises local firms at the forum organised by the national trade development and promotion agency, ZIMTRADE.

During the three-day forum, Minister Shava is expected to meet the Zimbabwe diaspora community in China and his Chinese counterparts to discuss ways to deepen and consolidate cooperation between the two countries.

On the other hand, business players from both countries are expected to consolidate relations and establish business links.

The forum is part of the Second Republic’s engagement and re-engagement policy.
