THE battle between ambitious ZIFA Northern Region division one sides, Moors FC and Shamva United turned out to be an exciting one, with the match ending a 1-all draw at Ngoni Stadium in Norton this Friday afternoon.
The two sides showed exactly why they have been talked about.
Playing in front of their fans, Moors FC took the lead at the stroke of halftime courtesy of a goal from veteran Chris Samakwere.
The visitors came back from the breather a spirited side, but they could not find the killer pass until the 88th minute when Benito Nyamaradzo headed the ball into the back of the net seconds after the Moors FC keeper had made a brilliant serve.
The win sees Shamva move to four points while Moors are now on two points after two draws in their first two matches.
In another match, Omnia FC and Come Again shared the spoils at Kuwadzana Stadium in Harare after a 1-all draw.
Action continues this Saturday with last season’s runners-up, Herentals U20 taking on Ngezi Platinum’s developmental side at Motor Action Sports Club in the peak of the day’s fixtures, while PAM FC host Banket at Muriel Mine.
Perennial campaigners; Trojan take on Chinhoyi at Trojan Mine stadium as Chegutu Pirates host Concession at Pfupajena stadium.
Police outfit, Black Mambas will be up against Harare City at Morris Depot, while Commando Bullets hunt for Karoi United at One Commando Stadium.
