PREMIER Soccer League Champions, FC Platinum have intensified preparations for the 2023 season, which kicks off with the Castle Challenge Cup between the Zvishavane-based side and Chibuku Super Cup winners, Bulawayo Chiefs next month
After laying down a marker as one of the giants of Zimbabwean football, FC Platinum are set to intensify their preparations for the upcoming season with a number of friendly matches already lined up.
FC Platinum have secured the services of prodigal son Perfect Chikwende from Bulawayo Chiefs, Jarrison Selemani from Cranborne Bullets, Misheck Ngwenya from Triangle and Ronald Mate who was promoted from their under-19 side.
“The boys are back from the preseason training camp which we did in Bulawayo and so far we are looking ahead for the new season. What I can safely say is that as FC Platinum we have our targets and the main one is to take each season as it comes. As for new players, it’s up to the coach to decide but for now, we are delighted with the players we have at our disposal,” said FC Platinum Spokesperson, Chido Chizondo
In a bid to grow their brand and meet CAF club licensing requirements, FC Platinum have roped in the services of Sithethelelwe ‘Kwinji 15’ Sibanda as head coach of women’s side Platinum Royals, while former Ngezi Platinum Stars assistant coach Alexio Segion will take charge of the Under 19 side.
