FORMER Dynamos Captain Murape Murape has retraced his footsteps to the Harare giants where he will be an assistant coach after quitting his post as head coach of Real Betis Academy.
Real Betis Academy confirmed on their Facebook page that Murape Murape, who has been the academy’s head coach, has left after rejoining Dynamos as an assistant coach.
“We can confirm that Murape Murape has left the post of head coach of Real Betis Academy after taking up an offer to join Dynamos Football Club on a full-time basis, we would like to thank Murape for his service and efforts and wish him the very best in his next chapter.”
The former Dynamos captain will deputise head coach Hebert Maruwa.
Affectionately known as Monya, Murape joined Real Betis Academy at the beginning of their operations in the country in 2020 after leaving Dynamos where he was Lloyd Chigowe’s assistant.
The former Churchill Boys High student is one of the longest serving and most decorated Dynamos sons.
He was also part of the Dynamos team that reached the Champions League final in 1998.
