Bosso target FC Platinum’s scalp as Herentals aim for top 4 finish

BULAWAYO giants, Highlanders are hoping to end their winless streak against FC Platinum when the two sides clash in the big match set for Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

It is now eight years since the Bulawayo giants tasted victory against the Premier Soccer League champions.

Their last meeting came at Mandava in April this year, an unfortunate tie that was abandoned with FC Platinum leading 1-0, and later awarded to the home side on a 3-0 scoreline after Bosso fans were found guilty of pitch invasion.

Winning against the defending champions would be a show of progress for the Baltermar Brito-coached side.

While Bosso targets victory, FC Platinum aims at a fourth successive league title.

Meanwhile, Herentals are looking to end their fairytale season by sealing a place in the top four.

It has been a remarkable season for the students who were almost relegated in 2019, but are now on course for their best finish in the league.

Herentals are targeting a win when they take on Cranborne Bullets at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.

“We have shifted focus to our game against Cranborne Bullets whereby we look forward to bouncing back to winning ways. We hope we are going to collect positive results,” said Herentals coach, Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva.

Apart from the league, Herentals are still in the Chibuku Super Cup, but it will not be an easy task as they face defending Champions FC Platinum in the semi-finals.
