THE Zimbabwe national cricket team, the Chevrons have regrouped ahead of the International Cricket Council T20 World Cup which gets underway next month in Australia.

The T20 World Cup is set for Australia from the 16th of October to the 14th of November.

Zimbabwe, who are in Group B alongside Scotland, Ireland and the West Indies begin their first round campaign with a date against Scotland on the 17th of October in Hobart.

The Chevrons technical team led by Dave Houghton named a 15 man squad led by captain, Craig Ervine.

With three weeks to go before the tournament, Zimbabwe has set the preparations in motion with a team bonding retreat at a Safari lodge in Shamva.

The team is expected to return to the capital this Thursday for field work.

Zimbabwe will be back with the big boys of international cricket after missing the last two World Cups and will be keen to continue with their progress under coach, Dave Houghton.

Since the former Chevrons captain returned home to take over the coaching duties from Indian Lalchand Rajput the team has been on the ascendency after winning the World Cup qualifiers without losing a match before beating Bangladesh and going on to perform well against India and Australia.
