ZIFA Southern Region Division One log leaders, Hwange are two victories away from returning to the Premier Soccer League despite stiff challenge from local rivals, ZPC Hwange.
Central Region Champions Sheasham and Green Fuel from the Eastern region were the first two teams to gain promotion into the topflight from Division One this year.
Simba Bhora followed suit after winning the Northern region championship last weekend.
However, things have not been that straight forward in the Southern Region where local rivals Hwange football club and ZPC Hwange are battling for the sole ticket to the PSL.
Hwange remain the favourites, five points ahead of ZPC Hwange with three matches to go before the end of the season.
With the way things are going, the battle for promotion might go to the wire but Chipangano will seal their place in the premiership next season if they win their next encounter and ZPC Hwange slip up.
Hwange host Ajax Hotspur at the Colliery Stadium, while second-placed ZPC Hwange clash with Indlovu Iyanyathela at White City Stadium in Bulawayo this Saturday.
