The United States is confident of strengthening cooperation and trade ties with Zimbabwe in various socio-economic sectors.
This emerged when the Charge d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Zimbabwe, Ms Elaine French paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly Advocate Jacob Mudenda in Harare this Tuesday.
Emerging from the closed-door meeting, the American diplomat noted that the two countries are exploring ways of strengthening ties in various sectors.
“It was a pleasure meeting with Speaker Mudenda. We had a positive and extensive conversation on how we can work together for a stronger, brighter and democratic Zimbabwe. I came here a month ago and I am looking forward to meeting several government officials,” Ms French said.
The Second Republic continues with its engagement and re-engagement drive as it seeks to maximise on the country’s vast resources to attract investors.
