Green Machine prepares to grind Tenax

The situation at CAPS United is slowly getting back to normal with coach, Lloyd Chitembwe giving credit to his charges for maintaining a positive attitude after a turbulent two weeks in which the team hardly conducted training sessions.

The players are back in training after they embarked on a two-week strike in protest over unpaid dues, ahead of their clash with Tenax at the National Sports Stadium this Sunday.

They had gone for three months without being paid, while their leaders had perfected the art of playing hide and seek regarding challenges bedeviling the fading Harare giants.

Away from the turmoil, CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe is a relieved man after his charges returned to training this week ahead of the next league match against limping new boys Tenax.

“During this week, the players have been credible and going to this final stretch I’m sure we are focusing on the most important things, which are three points. We are looking forward to the match. We know it’s not going to be easy like it has always been difficult in the premier league especially for us this season. We had ups and downs, but this game is crucially important,” Chitembwe said.

The encounter will be a revenge mission for CAPS after they lost 2-1 in the reverse fixture.
