THE big clash between Highlanders and Caps United set for Babourfields Stadium on Sunday has generated massive interest among football fans who are expecting a thriller.

Caps United’s problems are well documented with the early exit from the Chibuku Super Cup adding salt to injury.

However, there are some die-hard CAPS United fans who are hoping for redemption at Babourfields against all odds.

“These games are the best and I am hoping that we play well on Sunday and pick up maximum points. We are travelling to Bulawayo in our numbers and we haven’t been playing well, but a match against Highlanders is like a derby and form does not count,” a fan said.

“I remember vividly the 2014 Chibuku Cup match against Highlanders that was special and I hope we will see good football on Sunday. We are ready for the match and we call upon all the fans to be well behaved and we share drinks after the game,” said another Caps United fan.

Their Highlanders counterparts are singing a different tune, drawing confidence from their good form at home where they have not lost this season.

“We are playing at home and we do not lose to Caps United at Babourfields. The team is starting to pick up form and we welcome Caps United fans to see us celebrating on Sunday. IBosso yiBosso we enjoy matches against Caps but we also win them,” said Highlanders fans.

The two teams usually dish out football which is easy on the eye when they meet and this Sunday promises to be no different.
