Bosso look to clash against Makepekepe with caution

Cautious Bulawayo giants Highlanders are not reading much into what is transpiring in the CAPS United camp as the two sides are billed to collide in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match this Sunday.

However, despite both teams not being at their best, matches involving Highlanders and CAPS United have often given the twelfth man some entertaining football.

Highlanders are targeting a top four finish and take on a CAPS United side in crisis after an industrial action over salary arrears.

Despite the challenges in the opposite camp, Highlanders assistant coach Joel Luphahla is not taking anything for granted.

“We are trying to improve on our standings. We must not read much on what is happening as Caps United are capable of rising up to the occasion despite having those problems, we must not relax. It’s a big game at training everything has been going on well. We had missed our vice-captain Nqobizitha Masuku, not to say those who featured in his absence failed to measure up his coming has brought a change,” he said.

Highlanders’ utility player Rahman Kutsanzira, who has also played for CAPS United, says they need to be at their best to dismiss the Harare giants.

“Said Kutsanzira, “It’s a big game. I am now at Highlanders and what it means is that we need to win this game for our fans and for us to finish in a respectable position.”

After finding a new home from Gweru-based Division One side TelOne, striker Washington Navaya says they need to be clinical upfront to please their legion of fans.

“A big thanks to my teammates and the technical bench for giving me the opportunity to play. It’s a big game that I can be happy if I find the back of the net.”

Highlanders will miss the services of experienced central defender Peter Mudhuwa who is suspended for the match, while Adrian Silla, Andrew Tandi and Toto Banda are still in injured.
