The Zimbabwe Under-20 rugby team, the Junior Sables, ended their Canada Conference tournament on a high note after beating Chile 43-35 at Guelph University, in Ontario, Canada.
Tavonga Ablant was the star of the show with two tries and several scintillating runs to cap an impressive three games for the speedster.
In total, Ablant scored seven tries in the three matches that he has played to cap off a good tournament for the talented youngster who was named player of the tournament.
Chile got onto the scoreboard first before Ablant with a sudden turn of pace gave Zimbabwe their first try.
Zimbabwe then took the lead with another try from Liberty Sibanda and never relinquished the lead even though the match went on neck on neck.
The Junior Sables, who started the tournament as the lowest ranked team, return from North America with their confidence high.
Zimbabwe is using the tournament to prepare for the Junior World Cup Trophy.
