THE local agricultural sector is bracing up for the annual ADMA Agri-Show which returns to Harare this Thursday after a two year break due to Covid-19.
The agricultural show has already attracted overwhelming response from the private sector.
Agriculture industry entities have underscored the importance of the platform in generating revenue, aiding growth of the farming sector and overall economic development.
“We are confident and it is just a matter of time that by tomorrow activity will be at a full level,” said an independent player.
With the agriculture mechanisation drive being a key thrust of the Second Republic, the three day showcase is also expected to create a networking platform for the latest forms of agro- machinery.
“The farming sector has a lot to offer such that the mechanisation will go a long way in boosting productivity,” said a farmer.
Strides made by agricultural equipment manufacturing firms through joint ventures with foreign entities are also among the key highlights of this year’s exhibition.
The primary aim of the show is to appraise players in the farming sector value chain on latest technologies, with special focus on research, development and capacity building.
