Second edition of Beitbridge Business Expo on cards

THE second edition of the Beitbridge Business Expo which gets underway next month is expected to be bigger and better on the back of increased subscriptions and quality of exhibitions.

After holding a successful inaugural business conference in 2019, Beitbridge is raring to shake off the Covid-19 two-year disruption by expanding local and international participation in the 2022 edition of the Beitbridge Business Expo from July 7 to July 9.

Beitbridge Business Expo chairperson Dr Anna Muleya says organisers have spiced up the event by luring exhibitors from Mussina and Louistrichardt areas of South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

“We are happy that the Beitbridge Business Expo is growing in leaps and bounds. Local and international buyers and sellers have confirmed their commitment to participate. We would be running under the theme ‘Beitbridge 24/7’ as we envisage to be a business town that never sleeps,” she said.

To Beitbridge entrepreneurs, the business expo is an opportunity set to prop-up small to media enterprises and border economic activities.

“We look forward to be part of Beitbridge Business Expo 2022. People need to know what we are doing. We understand that there will be buyers from Musina and Louistrichardt. This is an opportunity to cross-pollinate ideas,” said a member of the business community.

“We might not be able to go and participate at ZITF, but this is our own show with an intention to expand our business ventures,” another noted.

Initiatives such as the Beitbridge Business Expo, district cultural summit and other conferences are testimony that the border town has embraced government’s decentralisation and devolution development strategy.
