HERENTALS Queens moved level on points with log leaders Chapungu in the Women Super League after a 2-1 victory over their rivals on Sunday.
They made a huge statement of intent after beating log leaders, Chapungu to move up to second in the Women Super League with 15 points.
However, Chapungu are still at the top due to a superior goal difference.
Herentals showed that they are no pushovers after coming from behind to beat Chapungu with goals by Polite Mabika and Fortunate Nyoka cancelling out Ethel Chinyerere’s goal.
Elsewhere, army side Black Rhinos continued with their good form after beating Correctional Queens 1-nil.
Mavis Chirandu pulled the trigger for Rhinos to take their points tally to 12 with the army side now fourth on the log standings, while Correctional Queens, who have the same number of points, dropped from second to third.
Scorpion Queens are eighth with six points after an emphatic 3-nil victory over Yadah Queens, who are tenth with three points.
It was a goal-less affair between Black Mambas and Conduit Soccer Academy which left Mambas fifth with seven points followed by the trio of Harare City, Faith Drive and Scorpion Queens with six points.
Conduit Academy completes the top nine with four points.
At the other end of the log, MSU Queens and Chipembere Queens have three points, while Mutare City Rovers and Borrow Jets are wallowing at the bottom without a point.
