The Chevrons have regained the lead in the five match T20 series against Namibia after overpowering the neighbours by eight wickets in the third match played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Further being humiliated by their less fancied opposition, the Chevrons came out guns blazing to secure the victory.

The visitors batted first and were restricted to 128 runs after their allotted 20 overs with Tendai Chatara grabbing three wickets, so did Sikander Raza, while Wessly Madhevere bagged another one.

In response, the young Wessly Madhevere hit an unbeaten half century to lead the Chevrons to a comfortable 8 wickets victory.

Madhevere’s fluent 73 reminded everyone of the talent the Chitungwiza bred star possess after hitting eight 4s and a six.

Madhevere shared a 61-run opening stand with Innocent Kaia before combining with for a 59-run partnership with Regis Chakabva as they closed out the match.

The 73 was Madhevere’s third 50 in T20 cricket as the Chevrons lead the five-match series 2-1 ahead of the fourth match slated for this Sunday.
