Zimbabwe Eleven suffered another defeat on home soil after a Five wicket defeat by South Africa A in the first T20 match at Harare Sports club this Monday.

After suffering a disappointing 2-1 defeat in the ODI series, Zimbabwe XI are still searching for the winning formula after yet another disappointing outing in the shorter version of the game.

The five-match T20 series kicked off this Monday at Harare Sports Club, with Zimbabwe winning the toss and opting to bat first.

The hosts posted a total of 114 runs after they were bowled out in 19.5 overs.

The figures were disappointing too with Tukudzwanashe Kaitano’s 20 runs being the highest followed by Sikandar Raza on 16 and Milton Shuma on 13.

The rest were sent back to the pavilion with figures of 10 and below.

South Africa A made light work of the chase reaching the target of 115 in 17.4 overs for the loss of just 5 wickets and in the process taking a one-nil lead in the T20 series.

The second encounter of the five match T20 series is on Wednesday at Harare Sports Club.
