BOTTOM placed Premier Soccer league side Bulawayo City have fired Head Coach Philani Ncube over a string of poor results.
An early morning meeting between the Coach and the Bulawayo City Executive to assess the team’s performance sealed Ncube’s fate.
Bulawayo City Marketing and Public Relations Officer Lovemore Dube confirmed that they have parted ways with Ncube.
“It’s true we have severed ties with Coach Ncube. He has been a loyal cadre who stood with the team in trying times, during COVID-19 and we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavours, he said.
Saturday’s one-nil derby loss to the ambitious Bulawayo Chiefs hammered the final although Ncube has in past cried foul over lack of financial support to enlist the services of quality players.
Bulawayo City are at the bottom of the log standings on six points from 13 outings, with just a single win and three draws.
