DeMbare hunt for goals

DYNAMOS coach Tonderai Ndiraya has challenged his charges to be more clinical in front of goal as they prepare to take on Whawha at Ascot stadium in Gweru this Saturday.

The Glamour Boys are perched at top of the log ahead of the Midlands trip against a side that is starting to show signs of improvement.

DeMbare have been on an impressive winning streak powered by a resolute defence, but head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya has challenged his strike force to be more clinical.

“No doubt our defence has been good, the challenge now is to improve in other areas like the strike force we have done good and we need to continuously improve remember this is a marathon and goal difference might be an issue,” said Ndiraya.

The Dynamos gaffer is sweating over the fitness of fullbacks Brendon Mpofu and Tinotenda Muringani.

“They have given us a different dimension and it’s sad to lose a young player to an injury but we have a huge squad we will make replacements,” he said.

Dynamos will be aiming to notch up its ninth win of the season, while Whawha will be fighting for a third win this campaign.

This weekend’s action will see champions FC Platinum visiting the capital for a date against Herentals on Saturday, struggling Bulawayo City hosting Bulawayo Chiefs at Barbourfields Stadium, while Ngezi Platinum Stars are up against Harare City at Baobab stadium.

Action continues on Sunday with the Bulawayo derby between Highlanders and Chicken Inn taking centre stage at Barbourfields Stadium, Manica Diamonds take on faltering ZPC Kariba at Sakubva, while Caps United host Cranborne Bullets at the National Sports Stadium.
