Exhibitors at this year’s 62nd Edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) are making final touches on their stands in preparation for the country’s biggest business exposition which begins this Tuesday in Bulawayo.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company says this year’s show, which is already over-subscribed is likely to be bigger and better.
“As ZITF, we are ready to welcome our visitors. What is quite clear is the excitement amongst the exhibitors as everyone is trying to make sure they bring the best to the show,” said ZITF CEO, Dr Nicholas Ndebele.
With this years’ trade show running under the theme “Re-think, Re-imagine, Re-invest Value Chains for Economic Development,” exhibitors are looking forward to broadening their business networks with local and international players.
“We expect to expand as designers and get more clients. ZITF is international, that way our horizon for growth is broad, there are clients from different regions so automatically it becomes the best platform of choice, said one exhibitor.
“It’s a great opportunity that a business can ever have given the President’s open for business mantra. For us this is our first time and we hope to develop key relations with other players that can help us to grow,” added another.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair is the country’s biggest trade exhibition.
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta was scheduled to officially open the trade show case but is no longer coming following the death of that country’s former president Mwai Kibaki.
