AUSTRALIAN company, Invictus Energy says it has identified a location in Mbire District where it will drill its first exploratory oil and gas well.
The first exploration is expected to start in June this year.
Invictus Energy Managing Director, Scot McMillan confirmed the latest development saying the Mukuyu Prospect has been identified in Mbire district.
“We are on course to drill our first ever oil and gas well in Zimbabwe and at the moment the place is being cleared at the Mukuyu Prospect to pave way for initial drilling,” said Mr McMillan.
Mr McMillan added that the initial roadmap is still in place and the mobilisation of the rig equipment is underway with the rig expected to depart from Tanzania next month.
