THE Zimbabwe Junior swimming team continues to boost its preparations for the Zone IV Championships for Zambia with more game time boosting their gear at the ongoing South Africa National Junior Swimming Championships.
Action continued in the South Africa National Junior Swimming Championships as Zimbabwean young swimmers were splashing the waters for honours.
Silver medal holder Teak Watson was back in the pool for the men’s 100m free event as he progressed to the final while Tichatonga also took his turn in the same category.
Jayden de Swardt showed off his prowess in the men’s backstroke category and managed to break his other personal best in 50m.
A timed final for 1500m free saw Anje Van finishing the competition on 8th position.
On the other hand Limbikani Kalipenguli progressed to the final in the 100m free contest and managed to sit on 6th position.
In the ladies’ field Alexis Johnson and Mikayla Makwabarara made their personal best in the 50m fly but could not reach the podium position.
The South Africa National Junior Swimming Tournament is being used to scout for players per age group who will participate in the CANA Zone iv Championships to be held in Zambia from the 14th to the 18th of this month.
