The country’s biggest football clubs, Dynamos and Highlanders have received their official kits courtesy of Sakunda as part of their sponsorship deal.
The latest kits are an addition to their US$1 million sponsorship deal.
Designed by OTB Sport, the six set kits include a home kits, away, training, travel and two alternative kits.
The two clubs’ leadership believes the interventions by the sponsor will transform the face of the game.
“It will also raise our players’ confidence, it is not only the way we perform on the pitch but also how we are viewed. We are brand that deserve to be on top aim all spheres,” Highlanders chairperson Johnfan Sibanda noted.
Dynamos chairperson Isaiah Mupfurutsa said: “They have actually exceeded what the package had, they unveiled vehicles, now a whole range of kits and apparel.”
The principal sponsor hinted on lucrative arrangements with international clubs for the two teams and stadia renovations.
Sakunda Holdings CEO, Dr Kuda Tagwirei urged fans to be patient with the two teams’ administration: “We have made arrangements for Dynamos to choose six of biggest clubs in the world, when we started people were skeptical as results were not coming, but what I want to urge people is to have patience with the administration with the players because transition takes time, good times lie ahead.”
The traditional giants had over the years struggled financially, but the intervention of Sakunda has seen transformation of the clubs both on and off the pitch, with hopes they will start challenging the platinum mining clubs or honours.
