ALLIANCE Health Eagles Women continue to dominate the Domestic T20 competition after beating Tuskers Women by five wickets at Old Hararians Sports Club this Monday.

A superb bowling spell by Mitchell Mavunga for Alliance Health Eagles Women sent Tuskers Women tumbling towards an all-out total of only 40 and eventually won the game by five wickets.

Mavunga took five wickets for 11 runs in four overs and she was ably supported by Precious Marange who finished with three wickets for only four runs.

In reply, Tuskers put up a good fight as they got five scalps, but their target was too little as Eagles walked away with a five wicket victory for their third win in four matches.

At Harare Sports Club, a fine fifty by Nyasha Gwanzura was the main factor in Mountaineers Women’s 24-run victory over Rhinos Women.

Mountaineers’ innings closed at 126 for five, with Mary-Anne Musonda as the most successful bowler, taking two wickets for 17 in her three overs.

Musonda also did her best for Rhinos Women as they chased the target, scoring 34 off 30 balls before Nyasha Gwanzura struck.

Eventually Rhinos was dismissed for 102 runs to continue with their struggles in the shortest format after reaching the finals of One Day International.

With two games to go, Eagles sit pretty at the top of the log with 30 points, same as Mountaineers who have all qualified for the finals. Rhinos is on fifteen points while Tuskers have a mere five points.

Action continues this Tuesday with Rhinos taking on Eagles at Old Hararians while Tuskers will be looking for thier first win as they clash with Mountaineers.
