The much-anticipated Battle of the Cities failed to live up to expectations after Caps United and Highlanders drew 1-1 at the National Sports Stadium in the peak of the weekend’s fixtures in the Castle Premier League.
Clive Augosto thrust Caps United into the lead after tapping in a cross in the first half and the home side managed to hold on until the breather.
Bosso managed to restore parity in the second half courtesy of a free kick from specialist Nqobizitha Masuku.
The Highlanders vice-captain is the club’s top goal scorer, with four goals all being free kicks.
In other matches, high-riding Manica Diamonds was held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Cranborne Bullets, while Bulawayo Chiefs lost 2-1 at home to Harare City.
Triangle pulled more misery on struggling Whawha after thumping them 4-1, while Herentals returned to winning ways by beating Tenax 2-0 at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare.
