ZIMBABWE is exploring possibilities of fresh produce exports to Kenya as it seeks to achieve a horticultural sector growth target.
Zimbabweans based in Kenya have revealed fresh produce market opportunities in the East African economy.
This came out when they met with Foreign Affairs and International trade minister, Ambassador Fredrick Shava this Saturday in Nairobi.
The government says as the country seeks to grow its export base it is ready to venture into the Kenya based markets.
“We have seen it four ourselves and the way forward is to reach out to our farmers back home,” said Ambassador Shava.
Zimbabwe is looking at agricultural exports in the Kenyan markets in a bid to expand the export market under the national development strategy one.
