BOTTOM placed Bulawayo City are hoping for a change of fortune when they clash with a familiar foe in the form of local rivals, Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
The clash promises to be an epic encounter as bottom-placed Bulawayo City will be gunning for their first victory of the season, while Highlanders are out to please their legion of fans with another set of three points after edging Whawha last weekend.
Bulawayo City coach, Philani “Beefy“ Ncube has challenged his troops to push themselves to the limit and collect maximum points.
“I always tell my players and I will continue to tell them to push themselves to the limit because we want our first win of the season to come out in style. We are fully geared up for the upcoming game and turn around the events,” said Ncube.
On the other hand Highlanders coach Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu is taking a cautious approach saying it will be a tough encounter.
“It is not going to be an easy match for us playing in a derby match against a team without a win, they will be gunning for maximum points so it is not going to be an easy game but we have to be at our best and win the match,” said Mpofu.
While the form book might suggest otherwise, Bulawayo City are not as bad as their position on the log standings when it comes to the derby after winning twice and losing three times in their last six games against Bosso.
