AMBITIOUS Premier Soccer League side Bulawayo Chiefs is confident of accounting for the scalp of their cross-town rivals Chicken Inn when they clash at Luveve Stadium this Saturday.
Popularly known as the Ninjas, Bulawayo Chiefs have benefitted from the player exodus that hit FC Platinum last month managing to claim the signature of work-horse midfield enforcer Kelvin Madzongwe, adding to Perfect Chikwende, Kevin Moyo and Obadiah Tarumbwa, and without a doubt turning chiefs into a dreaded juggernaut in the domestic league.
Welcoming their first Bulawayo derby of the season against the rejuvenated Chicken Inn, the Ninjas are walking with springs on their step, confident of slaying the Gamecocks.
We know that we are playing new opponents, but in a derby format where the better team wins, we want us to be the better team of the afternoon. We are sure and confident of collecting maximum points, said Bulawayo Chiefs Head Coach- Nilton Terroso
Meanwhile, Mandava Stadium will be the centre of attraction this Saturday afternoon when FC Platinum and Harare giants Dynamos lock horns.
After their defeat to Bulawayo Chiefs last weekend, the reigning champions are wary of the threat posed by the Glamour Boys, hence they will approach the match with caution.
This weekend the Castle Lager Premiership league enters Match Day Four after a long football break coupled with a busy transfer period where teams have been recharging their batteries and bolstering their squads.
