New dawn for Bosso as Siziba wins election

HIGHLANDERS Football Club elected Fiso Siziba as its new Vice-Chairman, with Busani Mthombeni landing the club Treasurer’s post in elections held at the club house this Sunday.

Fiso Siziba beat Babongile Sikhonjwa to become the new vice chairperson for Bosso for the upcoming term.

Siziba landed the top post after getting 202 votes against Sikhonjwa’s 51.

On the other hand, Busani Mthombeni, defeated Xolisani Moyo to land the Treasurer’s post.

Mthombeni was voted in as the new treasurer of Bosso after garnering 140 votes against Moyo’s 112 votes.

Accepting the new challenge, Siziba spoke about the need to revive the once vibrant junior structures.

“I want to thank all who voted for me and I can say my first step is make sure that Highlanders Junior structures are restored to where they have been during to the yesteryears, where we had the likes of the Ndhlovu brothers, Ngodzo, to mention but a few,” he said.

Mthombeni and Siziba join the executive committee led by Chairman Johnfat Sibanda and Secretary Morgan Dube, with the club in the process of recruiting a new Chief Executive Officer after the departure of Nhlanhla Dube.
