The local retail sector is the latest to benefit from a growing economy under the Second Republic as witnessed by retail giants’ continued expansion of their operations across the country.
Retail giants such as OK Zimbabwe splashed a whopping one billion Zimbabwe dollars in launching and refurbishing new branches, while TM Pick and Pay has also been equally active in expanding operations across the country.
Buy Zimbabwe Director Alois Burutsa says this can only be a sign of rosy times for the economy.
Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) President Denford Mutashu revealed that price stability registered over the past year has been a boon for local retailers.
Meanwhile, quick service food chain company Simbisa Brands plans to spend US$10 million to open new outlets to add onto numerous others launched last year.
