Dubai Expo 2020: Zim & Saudi Arabia discuss business

AS the country continues to woo potential investors at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai, officials from Saudi Arabia have since visited the Zimbabwean Pavilion, with discussions focusing on key trade issues.
Selling Brand Zimbabwe remains the game plan at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai and prospects of clinching several business deals remain high as enquiries continue at the country’s pavilion.
This Tuesday Saudi Arabia’s commissioner at the expo Engineer Hussein Hanbazaza visited the Zimbabwean pavilion and creation of smart cities and opportunities in both countries were discussed.
Engineer Hanbazaza noted that no country can rise by itself, indicating the need for Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia to explore the possible business interests they can pursue.
“It is nice to be here sharing your vision 2030 out message is that Saudi Arabia is open for opportunities, people can come and invest in our nation. One nation cannot rise by itself. The relationship with Zimbabwe has always been there, it’s now time for opportunities,” he explained.
Zimbabwe’s Commissioner General for the Expo Ambassador Mary Mubi briefed the Saudi Arabia officials on the key infrastructure projects in Zimbabwe, highlighting that the country is keen to share experiences with Middle East nation.
“We are developing a new parliament building just outside Harare and we are envisaging smart cities. We hope we can learn from you and share experiences,” said Ambassador Mubi.
The Expo will run until March next year and on the 14th of the same month, the world’s attention will be on Zimbabwe’s National Day where President Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to officiate.
