By ZBC Reporter

The Warriors are expected to begin training this afternoon at the National Sports Stadium in preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament slated for next month in Cameroon

The National |Team General Manager, Wellington Mpandare, this morning said the training starts after lunch as coach Norman Mapeza expected to assess several players before trimming his squad to 28 players for the AFCON tournament.

Yesterday, Mupandare confirmed that Teenage Hadebe is not part of the 22 players in camp, saying he is attending to some pressing family issues in Bulawayo, making the US based player a doubt for the tournament.

Other players who will not be in camp are Tinotenda Kadewere, captain Knowledge Musona, Jordan Zemura, David Moyo and Admiral Muskwe, who will join their fellow countrymen in Cameroon

The Warriors are scheduled to depart for Yaounde next week Wednesday, where a friendly match against Sudan is being considered before Africa’s biggest showpiece.
