PSL Break blessing in disguise for struggling teams

The Premier Soccer League festive season break is set to give a number of struggling teams a chance to recharge their batteries before action resumes in February.

It has been tough times for Premier League teams such as Bulawayo City, Tenax, Highlanders, Craneborne Bullets and Yadah who all have a point in the first three games of the season.

The PSL festive season break would not have come at a better time with the struggling band of teams hoping to restrategise and even beef up their squads when the transfer window opens in January.

Bottom placed, Bulawayo City Coach Philani Ncube admits that his team has struggled to cope in a tough terrain; hence the break has come at the right time for his team go back to the drawing board.

“Yes, we can say the break came at the right time when my team was struggling but I’m hopeful that we will strategize and reinforce the squad. I am sure and will always say that our aim is to avoid relegation and that we will achieve despite starting the league on a slow pace,” he said.

PSL league action is expected to resume in February with postponed match day three fixtures set to kick off on the 12th.
