AN intriguing battle is on the cards as Caps United coach, Lloyd Chitembwe faces his former paymasters when the Green Machine hosts Harare City in a Premier soccer league encounter set for the National Sports Stadium this Sunday.
Barely a month after dumping the City Fathers, Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe will have to prove his worth when he faces his former paymasters in his first game in charge of the Green Machine.
Chitembwe saved Harare City from relegation when he joined them in 2019 and knows the Sunshine boys too well.
“It’s not gonna be an easy game, I know the quality they have and I was there for years so I know exactly what we are going to be facing, given a chance this wouldn’t have been my first game in charge,” said Chitembwe.
His opposite number, Tarisai Kaseke, who was elevated from the club’s developmental side, says he will implement the Chitembwe game plan.
“We are just going to continue from where Lloyd was, he is a great coach and we are going to continue with what he was doing here and I am not going to change much,” said Kaseke.
It seems the raid has already started with Harare City striker, William Manondo training with Caps United.
Saturday’s action will see FC Platinum hosting Chicken Inn in the peak of the weekend’s fixtures, at Mandava stadium; Yadah takes on ZPC Kariba (WHERE?) while Herentals are up against Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium with a battle of Correctional services side Tenax and Whawha taking centre stage at Sakubva stadium.
Sunday will see Highlanders welcoming Ngezi Platinum Stars to Barbourfields stadium while Dynamos make the long Journey to Gibbo Stadium for a date against Triangle.
