IT is an all platinum teams’ final as fc platinum will clash against ngezi platinum stars in the Chibuku Super Cup final after FC Platinum beat Dynamos one nil in today’s semi-final match.
It was a game that lived up to its billing as Dynamos and FC Platinum squared off in the second semi-final match of the prestigious Chibuku Super Cup at the National sports stadium this Sunday.
There was not much action in the first half, with the only clear cut chance falling on Dynamos’ Emmanuel Jalai, who however failed to beat FC Platinum’s goalkeeper, Petros Mhari.
With the teams going to half time deadlocked nil-all, there was much life in the second half as both teams created lots of goal-scoring chances despite a goal remaining elusive.
The match was then to be settled in extra-time as Innocent Muchaneka unleashed a beauty from a dead ball situation to beat Tymon Mvula in goal for Dynamos.
The Zvishavane based side’s Rainsome Pavari was named man of the match.
Ngezi platinum stars edged cranborne bullets one nil in the other semi-final match played at the national sports stadium this Saturday.
The Chibuku super cup final will be played on the 5th of December at the national sports stadium in Harare and the winner will qualify to play in the CAF confederation Cup next year.
