Zimbabwe’s recognition through the scooping of two awards by ZimTrade, is nothing short of a testimony of the success Zimbabwe is making in its global re-engagement agenda.

ZimTrade’s well planned and well thought out layout of the pavilion created an outstanding business atmosphere that earned the country the Best Stand for Doing Business, while the unique creative design that attracted visitors from a distance was enough to be rewarded as the Best Design Stand.
Speaking to ZBC News ZimTrade Board Member Professor Gift Mugano explained the significance of the awards to Zimbabwe as a whole.
“The two awards are very significant in the Zimbabwean perspective in that brand Zimbabwe is the winner through promotion of trade which is critical in the country’s balance of trade dynamics as well as foreign currency generation capacity,” he said.
The country’s Private Sector was well represented at the trade fair and it commended such exhibition platforms for providing investment opportunities.
“As the private sector we are charmed by taking part in these trade exhibitions as they help us in bridging the technology and knowledge gap,” said Private Sector Representative Mr Mluleki Mangena .
Through the economic re-calibration process by the second republic, the country continues to receive global attention, hence the optimism of an economic boom that should lead to the attainment of Vision 2030.
