Zimbabwe’s efforts to achieve an Upper Middle Income Society by 2030 is set for another milestone with a delegation of local experts in Dubai to find out more on smart city strategies.
The expo 2020 Dubai continues to provide a series of platforms for nations across the globe to benefit, learn and adapt to the new world order.
The need to ensure clean cities has also attracted the attention of the country, according to the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Honourable July Moyo, who is part of the Zimbabwean delegation.
“We need to explore and learn more about the smart cities concept so that when we go back home we can also implement global strategies,” he said.
Expo 2020 Dubai Commissioner General Ambassador, Ambassador Mary Mubi outlined the importance of the expo in providing a platform for the Zimbabwean delegation to learn and share ideas.
“It is my hope that what we are seeing today can also be a reality when they go home because the expo is providing a lot of opportunities,” said Mubi.
Zimbabwe is using the Expo 2020 Dubai to market vast opportunities in its key economic sectors.
