The National rugby team, The Sables are gearing up for their first ever meeting with Brazil with the two teams set to clash in the Quadrangular series in South Africa on Sunday.
The Quadrangular series which also features Kenya and Namibia is part of the bumper November tests put up by World Rugby for teams to prepare for the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers set for next year.
The Sables will take on the Tupis of Brazil who have played African opposition twice and lost both matches.
However, Brazil is ranked 24th in the World, ten places higher than Zimbabwe who are 34th.
The Sables will be missing most of their European based stars but head coach, Brendan Dawson is unfazed.
“We had a good month-long camp and we played quality opposition in th4 Cheetahs, yes, we lost heavily in that encounter but for us it was not about the result, it was to get our processes right and see where we still lack ahead of the game against Brazil so I am happy,” he said.
The winner of the match will be streamed live on the World rugby website will face either Namibia or Kenya.
