Dubai Expo 2020: Local empowerment group clinches deal to empower women

CHILD headed families, marginalised women and the underprivileged are the latest to economically benefit from Zimbabwe’s participation at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai.
It is another important breakthrough at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for Zimbabwe as a local women empowerment group Red Lipstick Revolution has entered into a partnership with Evolvin Women that will see child-headed families and the underprivileged getting employment opportunities in the Dubai retail and hospitality sectors.
Founder of Red Lipstick Revolution, Dr Abigail Magwenzi was elated to clinch the deal that will improve the financial well-being of the less-privileged.
Evolvin Women Founder, Assia Ricco described their partnership with the Zimbabwean-based women empowerment group as a breakthrough in uplifting the lives of underprivileged women.
Expo 2020 Dubai Commissioner General, Ambassador Mary Mubi said the latest pact is yet another example of their fruitful exhibition at the global trade showcase.
The contract will run for two years and is renewable.
With at least 40 days into the six-month expo, Zimbabwe has already bagged numerous deals in sectors that include horticulture, transport, manufacturing and finance, with expectations that the country will draw huge economic benefits from participation at this trade extravaganza.
