Premier soccer league newsboys, Cranborne Bullets have emerged as the dark horse in the Chibuku Super Cup after progressing to the semi-finals at the expense of two-time champions Harare City.
Cranborne Bullets are affectionately known as the Hurricanes and true to their name, they have been sweeping past their opponents.
The army side progressed to the quarter finals without losing a match after winning three games and drawing another three.
This Sunday was no exception as they shot down perennial campaigners Harare City to continue with their unbeaten run in their maiden dance in the top flight.
With a young squad, veteran coach Nesbert ‘Yabo’ Saruchera is living his dream.
“We want to go as far as we can, we haven’t given ourselves limits, we have a very young squad and the boys are enjoying it and we will keep going,” Saruchera said.
Bullets and Dynamos are the only unbeaten sides in the Chibuku Super Cup but that might count for nothing in the semi-finals with the two platinum sides; Ngezi and FC Platinum lying in wait.
