Karate tourney set for Aquatic complex

IT will be a clash of the best at the Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex this weekend as the Zimbabwe National Karate Federation (ZNKF) hosts the Kurai Kofuni Karate tournament.
It is all systems go in various sporting disciplines with Karate also back on the radar.
Chitungwiza Aquatic complex will be the venue as the Kurai Kofuni Open Championship takes centre stage this weekend.
Kurai Kofuni club instructor Godwin Munyoro gave an insight on what to expect come Saturday.
“The karatekas are very excited for bringing back into action because this is the second edition. From 2019 there have not been any karate tournaments that took place in Zimbabwe, we excited and we are ready for it. The preparations are on course, the coaches from the respective Dojo have confirmed that the athletes are ready and raring to go,” said Godwin Munyoro – Kurai Kofuni instructor.
The tournament is part of preparations for the upcoming World Championship in Dubai followed by the Japanese Ambassador Cup set for next month.
