AN Indian business delegation has expressed trade interest in Zimbabwe to build stronger bilateral relations.
The visiting Indian business delegation, which has been exploring investment opportunities in Zimbabwe, concluded its mission on Thursday.
Representatives of the delegation told the ZBC News on their views about Zimbabwe, economic prospects and areas of interest.
“We held various discussions to assess the level of business activity and see how we can explore more,” said Dr Asif Iqbal, President of the India Economic Trade Organisation.
“It is really a key time that we can explore further what is available in Zimbabwe for the benefit of the two countries,” said Mr Nishant Patel, Chief Executive Officer of Mine Intellect.
“The potential is really there in Zimbabwe we just need to see it for ourselves,” said Mr Wali Kasvi, Director Zimbabwe India Trade Council.
Indians have emerged as key to Zimbabwe’s reindustrialisation agenda under the second republic with the multimillion dollar Varun Beverages bearing testimony of the Indian business community’s commitment to set up projects in the country.
