Wolves Wheelchair basketball club is gearing up for the Independence Tournament set for Zambia from the 28th to the 31st of this month.
The Zimbabwean Champions last competed in 2019 when they represented the country in Durban, South Africa.
Boasting of the likes of Taona Ziki who was playing his basketball in Italy, Wolves believe they have what it takes to compete with the best.
“We aim to collect everything that is there, yes we have challenges but once we manage to go there we will do our best and you know it is in our nature to do so,” said Wolves head coach Job Kamunda.
The club has been forced to split training sessions due to shortages of wheelchairs, with the men’s team training in the morning while their female counterparts take to the court in the afternoon.
The team is expected to leave the country on the 27th of this month.
