Warriors striker, Tinotenda Kadewere is slowly getting back to his best after featuring in Lyon’s two-nil victory over Monaco in the French Ligue 1.
Kadewere marked his second appearance since his comeback from injury after featuring for Lyon in their 2-nil win against Monaco in the French league One on Saturday.
The Zimbabwean striker was introduced as a second substitute in the 67th minute, replacing former Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri.
At one point, Kadewere found himself in a one on one situation with the Monaco’s German goalkeeper, Nübel, but could not covert.
In England, Marvelous Nakamba was thrust into the fray after 67 minutes replacing Douglas Luiz in Aston Villa’s 3-2 loss to Wolves.
Elsewhere, in the South African DSTV Premiership, Willard Katsande was in the starting line up for Sekhukhune United and played the entire 90 minutes in their one-nil victory over Cape Town City.
