The Mighty Warriors are in camp ahead of the Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifier against Eswatini at the National Sports Stadium on Wednesday next week.
The Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) will be staged in Morroco in June next year and the Mighty Warriors need to get past Eswatini in the first round before taking on the winner between Botswana and Angola in the final qualifying round.
The mighty warriors who had a COSAFA tournament to forget last month are hoping for better fortune.
The Cosafa tournament accorded us more preparation time and game time remember there hasn’t been any league games in 2 years so that was good and we are raring to go and also because of the time we been in camp we think we are in a better situation, said Coach Sithetelelwe ‘KwinjI’ Sibanda
The team has retained all the players who were on duty at the COSAFA women’s championship.
The reverse encounter against Eswatini will be played on the 26th of this month.
