The drive to promote women empowerment is gaining traction with Manicaland province successfully launching the Young Women for Economic Development programme in Mutare this Friday.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa highlighted that the initiative seeks to advance the interests of women, regardless of political affiliation.
“There is so much excitement about young women joining this initiative. Economic development being spearheaded by President Mnangagwa should not leave any one behind. We have seen women in mining, tourism, agriculture, sports. Mbuya nehanda was a war strategies and should provide inspiration for you not to look down upon yourselves. If you stay in your comfort zone you will fail. Start putting pressure on yourself and move out of the comfort zone and become successful,” said the minister.
