Zimbabwe’s participation at the ongoing Dubai Expo 2020 got a major boost, with a delegation of players from the private sector leaving for the international trade showcase this Tuesday.
The entourage of over 19 retailers are heading for Dubai to take part in the international trade extravaganza which is expected to solidify Zimbabwe’s stance in attracting global capital.
Vice President of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers Zaka Hawa told ZBC News ahead of their departure at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport that they were given a mandate to mobilise retailers to help canvas for international capital.
We are keen to support our country at the ongoing Expo we have heeded Government call to support our country in terms of marketing our economy and the opportunities that exist in the country, he said.
Retailers who are part of the delegation are confident of creating lasting synergies with renowned global brands.
Zimbabwe is well represented at the 6-month long Expo, with the country’s pavilion being a star attraction to many visitors.
