WARRIORS defender, Teenage Hadebe is the only player yet to join the team ahead of Zimbabwe’s World Cup Qualifier against Ghana at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
The Warriors who travelled to Ghana in batches held their first training session in Cape Coast this Wednesday evening with 22 players available.
England based defender, Brandon Galloway later joined the team after facing visa challenges, while the United States-based Teenage Hadebe was still holed up at his base.
Hadebe has however managed to clear all obstacles and is expected in the Cape Coast this evening.
With Jordan Zemura, Brendan Galloway, Tendayi Darikwa and Marvelous Nakamba not travelling to Zimbabwe for the reverse fixture due to England’s COVID-19 travel restrictions, coach Norman Mapeza is expected to name additional players after the match in Ghana.
“We have been treated well and trained well and we expect to add four players and we have already written to their clubs and we should be able to name them soon,” said Wellington Mpandare, Warriors General Manager.
Meanwhile, France based-striker, Tinotenda Kadewere, who has recovered from injury, is not part of the squad with the technical department giving him more time to recover.
