The Warriors have been given a major boost ahead of the back to back World Cup qualifiers against Ghana with Striker Tinotenda Kadewere back from injury after featuring in the Europa League this Thursday.
This comes a day after star midfielder Khama Billiat was ruled out of the away fixture to West African giants, Ghana after accumulating two yellow cards.
However, all hope is not lost, as there is an alternative to boost the Zimbabwe senior men’s hunting squad.
France-based striker, Tinotenda Kadewere returned to action this Thursday after a thigh injury sustained during the match against Bafana Bafana at the National Sports Stadium.
The Zimbabwean striker made his debut appearance in the Europa League after his arrival at the French League One side last season.
The 25-year-old was introduced as a second half substitute with seven minutes to go as Lyon romped to a 3-0 victory over Danish side Brondby.
Elsewhere, another Warriors star, Teenage Hadebe is walking with a spring in his step after being named in the Major League Soccer (MLS) team of the week.
The United States-based Hadebe had an impressive performance in Houston Dynamo’s goalless draw with Vancouver.
The Zimbabwean showed off his defensive prowess when he made five clearances, ten recoveries, one interception, one block and three key passes.
