Mighty Warriors prepare for COSAFA cup

THE Zimbabwe senior women national football team, the Mighty Warriors continue to sharpen their arrows in preparation for the 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship which kicks-off on the 28th of this month in South Africa.
The Mighty Warriors are bullish as preparations for the 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship gather momentum.
The tournament is set to run from the 28th of September to 9th of October at the Nelson Mandela Bay, in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The Mighty Warriors will get the ball rolling with a clash against Tanzania on the 29th of this month.
Head coach Sithethelelwe ‘Kwinji 15” Sibanda says the ladies are responding well in training.
“From the first day training has been really great, great response and great attitude from the players. We have seen that they’re ready to go, we have seen a lot of improvements with each day of training,” she said
28 players were called into camp and these include eight from Black Rhinos Queens who were recently in action at the CAF Women’s Champions League, COSAFA Qualifiers.
The Mighty Warriors were drawn in Group B with Botswana, guest nation Tanzania and South Sudan.
